About
Fire Risk Assessments Process.

Firstly, we provide you with a free survey and quotation for the premises based on the information you provide.

We then schedule a convenient time to conduct a fire risk assessment of each area of the premises collating detailed information.  The time that this takes varies upon the size of the building.

Smaller office fire risk assessments take between 1 and 5 hours to assess, whereas larger premises might take a series of visits over a 2 week period.  Timescales are always outlined in our free surveys.

A report is then drafted from the information collected, and then presented back to you in an 'easy to understand' format.

Dependant upon the Fire Risk Assessments urgency, we can usually turnaround reports within 10 days of the actual assessment.  If there are more urgent timescales such as imminent fire brigade visits or premises opening dates, we can be flexible with the timescales.

As every building is different the price for fire risk assessments vary. Regardless of size and location we provide free surveys and no obligation quotations.

 Fire Audit

Pegasus Fire Safety Services can complete your fire safety audit, and review your fire safety provisions.

The fire safety audit can be used alongside your fire risk assessment to identify what fire safety provisions exist within your premises and will identify if there have been any significant lapses in the monitoring and  recording of all relevant fire safety checks as required by the RRFSO 2005. If things go wrong and the employer is found liable  the courts can impose unlimited fines and upto two years in jail

The audit will also help to quickly identify if there are any outstanding corrective actions to complete that will require your fire risk assessment to be reviewed.

The audit will comprise of a thorough examination of your Fire Log Book  including such things as:

  • Existing fire risk assessments

  • Building/site plans

  • Fire records/log book records

  • Fire alarm systems

  • Emergency lighting

  • Fire-fighting equipment

  • Compartmentation /fire separation

  • Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans

  • Flammable storage facilities

  • Fire training

Once the audit is complete a comprehensive report incorporating observations and recommendations, and where appropriate, an action plan will be provided.  This will assist with your ongoing management of fire safety.

The service is intended for all responsible persons (as defined under the fire Safety Order 2005), including building owners, building managers and employers
